About Me

A Spring Sweater

I am counting down the days until spring arrives. I can’t wait to pack up my winter boots, jackets, and scarves. While spring doesn’t usually necessitate tank tops and flip flops, I do enjoy wearing beautiful pastel colored short sleeved shirts at this time. To stay warm during the cool spring mornings and nights, I often slip on a colorful sweater over my short sleeved blouse. Sweaters are a great way to bridge the gap in your wardrobe between the cold winter months and the hot summer months. If you currently don’t own any spring sweaters, now is a great time to stock up on them. On this blog, you will learn how to find the perfect sweaters to match your spring shirts. Enjoy!

How To Speed Up The Engraving Process

by Anna Obrien

The great thing about CO2 engravers is that they are able to handle almost any material. However, in order for the engraver to be effective, you need to know how much speed and power the engraver must have in order to produce the optimal results.

Using The Right Speed And Power

The speed and power that you should use is based on the type of material you are engraving on. When engraving on wood, the higher the wattage, the faster you are able to engrave on the material. This means that a higher wattage can lead to products being produced faster. However, there is no need to use a high wattage when engraving on acrylic products because the high wattage can cause damage and the material can be engraved on effectively without a high wattage.

Considering The Thickness

The thickness of the material also affects how much power will be needed to engrave on it. Materials that are thicker require more power to engrave and might take longer.

Considering The Material

If you are having a hard time deciding which material you should use a laser to engrave on, wood is a great option to consider. It is easy to engrave on and the color that is created as a result is a nice contrast to the natural wood. Some types of wood are harder than others, so they will need more wattage in order to engrave upon them efficiently. Different types of wood have their own unique characteristics. Some species of wood are denser and require more wattage in order to engrave upon them.

Acrylic comes in two different forms: cast and extruded. There is less of a contrast when engraving upon extruded acrylic. However, when engraving on cast acrylic, the laser will produce a frosty look that creates a nice contrast to the rest of the acrylic.

Glass is another popular material to use for engraving because it has a very classic look. However, the glass can be more difficult to work with because it needs to be protected during the engraving process to avoid flaking and chipping.

If your business does not often engrave products with a laser, it may make more to hire contractors who can engrave your products for you. They will be able to provide a broader range of options and will understand the speed and power settings that will produce the best results.
