About Me

A Spring Sweater

I am counting down the days until spring arrives. I can’t wait to pack up my winter boots, jackets, and scarves. While spring doesn’t usually necessitate tank tops and flip flops, I do enjoy wearing beautiful pastel colored short sleeved shirts at this time. To stay warm during the cool spring mornings and nights, I often slip on a colorful sweater over my short sleeved blouse. Sweaters are a great way to bridge the gap in your wardrobe between the cold winter months and the hot summer months. If you currently don’t own any spring sweaters, now is a great time to stock up on them. On this blog, you will learn how to find the perfect sweaters to match your spring shirts. Enjoy!

Buying Boots?

by Anna Obrien

Are you shopping for boots for yourself or for somebody else? Perhaps you're shopping for birthday gifts or for Christmas gifts. Or, maybe you're shopping for boots that will be given to somebody else and others that you will add to your own collection. From picking out western boots to give as gifts to purchasing work boots, here are some ideas that might help you as you  shop.

Make A List - Think of making a written list before you go shopping. On the list, include the name of the person who will be receiving the boots, the kind of boots you want to buy that individual, where you want to shop for the boots, and the size that each person will need. Do you have little kids on your list? If so, consider buying red or pink western boots for the little girls. Little boys will probably love getting boots that look just like the ones that their dad wears. If you have teenage girls on your list, think of buying western boots that have a lot of bright colors as part of the design, maybe turquoise, purple, and bright red. For somebody really patriotic, think of buying western boots that have red, white and blue as the basic color of the boot. As you shop, be sure to make a note of where you bought each pair of boots in case they need to be exchanged or returned. Also, keep the receipt and let the recipient know that you have it. Or, include a gift receipt in the package.

Boots For Yourself - Are you looking for work boots? Does your place of business specify exactly which type of boot you are supposed to wear? If you've been working at the same place for awhile, you'll probably already know exactly where to shop. If you're new at work, think about asking your new work friends where they have found the right work boots for the best price. After you have been wearing the boots for awhile, make a determination if they are the perfect fit for you. If so, and if you can afford it, think about buying a second pair or the exact same work boots. Not only will you probably extend the time that you will wear both boots, but you won't run the risk of that particular style being gone. If the boots are expensive, think of keeping your eye out for when the boots go on sale, or put the boots on your Christmas list so you can get a pair as a gift.
